Filling, crimping and gassing machines

Automatic Indexing Modules (AMR) are used in the technological process of aerosol production. These machines are the most crucial machines of any aerosol filling line. This is where all the key aerosol production processes take place, including:

  1. Can positioning if the valve is to be in the same direction in all cans.
  2. Dropping a ball (optional, e.g. when filling with paint).
  3. Product filling (including filling multi-component products, e.g. PU foams).
  4. Inserting the valve and checking the presence of the valve in the aerosol can.
  5. Crimping (including vacuum crimping, e.g. filling gas cartridges).
  6. Propellant gas filling (including multiple gas filling).


Automatic indexing modules are made of stainless steel and are fully adapted to the requirements of the customer and the industry. For capacities up to 40 cans / minute, we offer Automatic All-in-One Modules combining all processes in one compact machine. For capacities above 40 cans / minute, we offer separate filling, crimping and gassing machines.

Automatic filling and crimping modules

The flowchart of the Automatic Product Filling and Crimping Module is as follows: cans enter the machine, where they are directed to subsequent workstations (filling -> inserting and checking valves -> crimping). Product dose setting can be manual or automatic, as well as height adjustment of working units. The type and number of filling heads depends on the expected line capacity, product properties and volume. The machine has a safety system in the door that causes the machine to stop immediately if the door is opened. The cans are guided centrally under successive heads using interchangeable sets for each can diameter. The machine can be equipped with a single or two-stage air motor or an electric motor with a variable index. The automatic product filling and crimping module can also be equipped with an automatic pellet mill.

Automatic gassing modules

The automatic gas filling unit - usually located in the GasHause - is suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The cans enter the machine and then are filled with a pre-set dose of gas at appropriate work stations. The setting of the gas dose can be manual or automatic as well as the height adjustment of the operating units. The type and number of gassing heads depends on the expected line capacity, gas properties and volume. The machine has a safety system in the door that causes the machine to stop immediately if the door is opened during operation. The cans are guided centrally under successive heads using interchangeable sets for each can diameter. The machine may have a single or two stage air motor, or a variable index electric motor for multi-gas operation. 

 

For fast production and gassing with one gas, we recommend rotating gassing modules (with continuous movement), also for placement in a safe GasHause.

Automatic gassing modules with increased capacity and variable index

The automatic gassing module with a variable index is a device used for filling with propellant through the valve of aerosol cans with increased efficiency thanks to the redesigned gassing system. The automatic gassing module with a variable index is usually located in the GasHause and is suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. 

 

How does the machine work? The cans enter the machine and then are filled with a pre-set dose of gas at appropriate work stations. The setting of the gas dose can be manual or automatic as well as the height adjustment of the operating units. The type and number of filling heads depend on the expected line capacity, gas properties and volume. The machine has a safety system in the door that causes the machine to stop immediately if the door is opened during operation. The cans are guided centrally under successive heads using interchangeable sets for each can diameter. The machine has an electric motor with a variable index, which allows for individual settings when working with many gases of different parameters.

 

This machine offers the highest flexibility and has a capacity of 60 cans / minute for large volumes of gas (ultimately dependent on the flow of the aerosol valve). It is mainly used for filling gas cartridges. For quick production and single gas gassing, we recommend Rotary Gassing Modules

Automatic All-in-one modules up to 40 pcs / min

The automatic All-in-One module up to 40 pcs / min is a device that combines all the important steps in the aerosol production process in one compact machine.

 

How does this machine work? The operation scheme is as follows: The cans go to the machine, where they are fed to the next work stations (filling -> inserting and checking valves -> clamping -> gassing). Product and gas dosing can be adjusted manually or automatically, as can the height of the working units. The machine is also equipped with pneumatic control and drive for optimal explosion protection and easy adjustment.

 

The automatic All-in-One module is controlled by switches and buttons on the control panel. They enable automatic and manual control of all operating units. In an emergency, the machine can be turned off immediately using the emergency button.
