Leak testing

Aerosol tightness testing is an extremely important part of the production process. When dealing with flammable gases, aerosol manufacturers cannot afford to use untested technologies. In order to provide our customers with solutions that guarantee the highest quality of production and the safety of their customers (the pressure in the finished can is from 6 to 10 bar!), We offer safe and proven aerosol tightness testing systems.

Offer Solmatic
Automatic test bath

The use of the Automatic Test Bath is one of the most popular methods of checking the tightness of aerosol cans. The device consists of a bath unit, a drive unit, a dryer and a control cabinet and does not require an additional operator. Aerosol cans filled with the product, slowly passing through the tub, are immersed in water at 60°C for 3 to 5 minutes. If any of the cans are leaking, they should explode at this point. Leaking containers are removed from the production line. After leaving the tub, the containers are dried with a stream of air under high pressure. On offer Solmatic there are currently three automatic bathtubs adapted to production lines with different capacities. Each device is capable of testing 60, 80 or 120 cans per minute for tightness. Such a system, although proven and effective, is quite energy-intensive. It requires bringing to a high temperature and constantly maintaining about 1000-1500 liters of water in it.

Gas presence sensor

Aerosol manufacturers are constantly looking for new and better ways to test aerosol leaks. IN Solmatic we have created an innovative device at the individual request of one of our clients in Poland - a can tightness sensor (gateway for gas presence sensors). The device is used to control gas leakage from aerosol cans on the existing technological line and to eliminate gas leaking cans from further production. The gas sensor gate cooperates with a conveyor on which the aerosol cans checked by the gate move. Our device is equipped with eight very sensitive sensors that study the gas spectrum. Aerosol cans filled with gas are transported through two test stands. If the sensor detects gas, the can is leaking. A defective copy is blown off the conveyor by a compressed air nozzle and falls into a container located at the bottom of the device, from where it is picked up by the operator. The leak sensor is the first device of this kind created in Solmatic. Our goal is to constantly improve this technology so that in the future it becomes a cheaper and energy-saving alternative to traditional methods of testing the tightness of aerosol containers.

Laboratory test bath

The laboratory test bath (manual) is the equivalent of the automatic test bath, which carries out tests on a smaller scale. The device is operated by a single operator. The device contains eight aerosol canisters filled with product. The operator, with the help of a lever, immerses the tested containers in heated water, which enables visual detection of leaks in the tested containers and elimination of defective items from the production line.

Why us?
Individual design

You get one hundred percent personalized, tailored technological solutions, comprehensive service and substantive support before, during and after the project.

High performance

By focusing on proven, automated solutions, you increase efficiency, quality and speed of production, reducing the risk of incurring losses during the production process resulting from defects and failures of equipment - thus you reduce costs. Automatic lines Solmatic are able to fill up to 120 cans per minute.

Short retooling times

Our machines are characterized by a short changeover time, thanks to which you are able to maintain the smoothness and flexibility of the production process. With devices Solmatic you do not lose valuable time to change the machine - you produce more and do not generate unnecessary costs.

Warranty service

All machines Solmatic is covered by the warranty. We run an online warranty service, helping our customers remotely, no matter where they are. Our experts perform periodic inspections. We have a wide range of proven spare parts (if during the technical inspection it turns out that one of the parts should be replaced - we can perform such a service right away). Our representatives are present on the largest markets to be able to respond to customer needs on an ongoing basis.
